We're moving across town in a few weeks, so our apartment will be available from early November. It's in a modern, recently-built block of eight apartments (with excellent sound insulation and insulation in general - the walls are about 30cm thick). It's well connected and extremely convenient for the airport and its associated 365-day/year shopping opportunities (9 minutes on the bus). We've been happy here for nearly five years, but are moving for a better commute as my wife's got a new job.
The place is unfurnished, but we have a big and relatively new IKEA modular wardrobe in the master bedroom we'd be happy to pass onto the next tenant for a nominal fee. You can see it in one of the pics. Location:
8052 Zürich-Seebach (almost on the town border with Glattbrugg) Rooms:
4.5 (big living/dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms) Floor:
Ground (very handy for buggies - no steps at all) Area:
Private (your use only) hedged-off front garden (gardening service included) with patio and awnings, large walled-off back yard (also private). Cellar space and bike storage room. Kitchen:
Dishwasher, fridge, freezer, etc. Laundry:
Two big machines and dryers in the basement. Allocated from Monday-Thursday (our day is Monday), free for all Friday-Sunday. Works out pretty well, all told. Misc:
Cable connections in all rooms. Under-floor heating. The landlord is excellent and responsive (no agencies involved!) Rent: We're currently paying Fr2590/month including nebenkosten. Transport:
- Seebach tram (14): 8 minutes walk
- Ettenfeld bus (768): 4 minutes walk, Oerlikon in 7 minutes, airport in 9 minutes or so
- Glattbrugg (S5, trams 10/12) and Opfikon (S7) stations both within 10 minutes walk
UBS in Glattbrugg is about 15 minutes walk (less if you're a quick walker), the Glattpark about 10.
A few photos attached - apologies for all the toddler paraphernalia around the place, I'll try and have a tidy-up then take some replacements.
