Help me EF, you are my only hope!

I was looking for an apartment in Zürich and so confident was I of finding a place, I informed my landlord that I would be out by the end of August and now August is here and there's slim chance of me actually finding an apartment in time.

So if anyone has a room they can rent for a few months, or knows of one can they please let me know and I'd be very grateful.

Got an old colleague of mine, whom I just spoke with over lunch. He's got his own business now and over the coming 6-8 months will be travelling a lot (90%) and was wondering if I knew of anyone that would be interested in sharing the cost of his apartment for the aforementioned period. Fully furnished and in Wollishofen, about 3 min from tram 7 (Butzenstrasse). Not sure what he is asking for (rent wise) but PM me if you're interested and I'll forward you his contact details.

Ric, if you are as desparate as you make yourself out to be, I would highly recommend checking out Euclid's offer. Depending on *where* in Affoltern, it could be only 5-8 minutes by direct bus from Oerlikon...

And no, I have no vested interests here - just noticed your profile says you are in Basel so you may not know exactly where Affoltern is... beyond thinking, perhaps rightly, that Kreis 11 sounds miles out on the fringes of Zurich.

Ric, not 100% clear on your plans / needs but we are moving out on september 1 from our apartment in Seebach which is no more than 10 mins from Oerlikon
