I have 2 iPod Touch 4G for sale. These are the latest generation models with the cameras and FaceTime compatibility. One is the 8gb version. The other is the 32gb version.

32gb version - Price 310 CHF (vs 379 list price)

This is new. I bought it to be a Christmas present but decided to give them something else. It has been turned on to activate and languages set-up etc. (preparation for gift) but otherwise unused. It has been fully charged once and battery indicates that 1/2 charge is still there, so battery is as-new.

The earbuds are unused and still in the plastic wrapper. Same for the USB cable.

I don't know for what price you can buy comparable ipod touches on the open market, but I do think it's striking that, with respect to the 8gb model, your goal appears to be to walk away from the device only 50 chf poorer than you were when you first got it.

This was your own personal ipod touch which you were using and enjoying (no mention of for how long you had it, but long enough at least to gain the inevitable scratch) from the time (I assume) that it was totally new and it still had that feeling of being a pretty revolutionary and incredible technological advance in space-age hand-computer type gadgets.

And now you're going to unload it on some sucker who's going to receive damaged goods and sloppy seconds and who will of course see the device he pays for superseded by something probably infinitely cooler in what could be a mere matter of weeks.

If you do manage to sell it for only 50chf less than you bought it, I salute you and your apparently merciless will to power.

If you clean up your grubby finger prints properly then I might offer you another 10 big ones taking it to a grand total of CHF210. Anything more would be a rip off.

GSM Network - Ipod Touch??? Had no idea sim card needed for ipod touch. I guess this ipod is really worth 400 bucks afterall....

sure, you just poke a needle in the hole (see pic on right) and you can put a sim card in it.

the reception on this ipod touch isn't that good though, esp. if you put your fingers on the gaps.
