There are a bunch of unclaimed bikes in my basement that are being sent to the dump at the end of the week if you are interested. They are not perfect, but mostly require just an inner tube or at worst a new wheel. There are about three let, two are sporty.

I do have a 2nd mountain bike and I'm thinking about selling it. It's a Merida Matts sport 500 with Magura V brakes and Suntour front suspension. I've bought it in October 2006 just 6 month before I moved to Switzerland. In Switzerland I haven't just it at all so actually I only used for half year.

Price at that time was EUR 850 which is about CHF 1,275 at current rate.

Please let me know if you are interested and i will think about price I want to have for it.

What type of mountain bike are you looking for, I have a second hand one that I dont need anymore, nothing special but good for going round the lake on and doing some of the trails....

Not looking for anything special, this is for my wife so we can start doing some family cycling i.e. road cycling, some off road paths round the woods near us, but no extreame hill climbing or descents. So preferably a 'Ladies' bike and quite small frame size (will have to work out what this should be).

Alternativly we can look for a cheap bike at Jumbo, Conforama etc.. Finding something on the Forum might enable us to find something a bit better quality at a simular price.
