LTO tape library with 96 slots. capacity for 6 LTO or DLT drives, 2 LTO drives fitted. plus automated robotic arm. fully kitted out, you could theoretically store over 75 terabytes of data on this with compressed LTO3 and save data onto it at 0.5TB/s assuming you can feed it with data fast enough :P

comes also with fibre-channel, bar code reader, lan connection serial etc. etc. etc. and other bits and bobs.

would also double as a large rectangular block to put objects on.

Hi Phil, that will be a long shot! have you by chance got any tablets left laying around?

Especially after you tell her, considering it was only 1200 CHFies and you have no current reason to use a DLT multi-tape library server (but it could come in handy in the future and it was such a great savings over purchasing new) it can double as a black blob to put something on and where in the living room would she like you to place it

totally agreed.. especially get it delivered installed etc while the OH is away for a few days too late to send it back.

now that I have my own rack in DC, there is no reason to have one of these in my front room or by my bed any more!
