Moving out of Zurich Sale

We are moving back to the US in March and want to sell the furniture that we purchased when we moved into our flat on Hornbachstrasse in the Seefeld section of Zurich. Please see my list of items for sale by following the following link: http://WWW.SWISSHOME.MYNETWORKSOLUTIONS.COM

If you think that stuff is worth that much you are better off shipping it back to the states.

Re: Moving out of Zurich Sale

Those are the asking prices from the shops when he bought them new.

Good try, but no thank you: they are very over priced.

Re: Moving out of Zurich Sale

they take the sale very seriously...

"seller makes no claims as to the condition of any items"
"50% deposit required to hold item for pickup"
etc etc

Re: Moving out of Zurich Sale

For quality furniture the prices are not so bad, especially for those of us who prefer not to live out of an Ikea catalogue.

Sure you can buy cheaper furniture, you can buy cheaper anything, whether you have so much pleasure is another matter and if you can afford it, why not....

Re: Moving out of Zurich Sale

Even the monkey in one of the seller's photos is embarrassed by the prices.

Still, you get what you pay for.

But if I paid 600 CHF for a second-hand duvet, I'd expect to get a sleeping partner to go with it included. Second-hand, of course.

Btw, if you really do want quality furniture, drive an hour from Zurich, and pop over the border to Dick. Same quality as Pfister, cheaper prices, and then they'll knock off the 19% German tax, then add on Swiss tax, and delivery to Switzerland.

The quality of Dick is unbeatable (fill in your own double entendres here..)

On the way to Dick, you'll also pass Möbel Arena. Kinda like a slightly-better-than-IKEA alternative. We got our kid's bed from there, and again, they take off the German tax, add on Swiss tax, and charge about 60 CHF for delivery to Switzerland. Very good service...
