My husband is selling his MacBook Pro. It is only 6 months old and we are selling it because he got a new laptop from work. We bought this laptop 6 months ago from California so the warranty is still valid. The details are below:

MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo - Only 6 months old
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRam
250 GB-Harddisk
8x Dual Layer Superdrive
Built in iSight
Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard with Microsoft Office 2004
Note: This laptop has a US keyboard

No dents, blemishes or scratches.

Hoping to get CHF2000 for it (obo).

also, I don't want to rain on your parade but you can get a Pro with Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz for 2369 - with local keyboard (which may or may not be a plus)

might be interested but for 2600 CHF you can get a brand new MBP 2.4 GHZ with bigger 200GB hard drive, I think 1800 to 2000 CHF may be a more realistic price

where have you seen one for that price lob? just looking on apple store and bottom of range MBP is 2599

Digitec....it only has 160Gb drive. 2528 for the model you're talking about.

Sorry slight change. The HD is 250 GB - we replaced the original 160GB.

...or less. Most companies write off computer equipment over one or two years, the private market seems more forgiving. I wouldnt buy a second hand (imported computer) for anywhere near its new cost.

If you order via phone you can get a US keyboard.

Just a note that the standard Apple warranty (as with most things) does NOT give international coverage. You might be able to convince Apple Switzerland to help you (Apple's customer support seems to run very hot and cold), but they are not under any obligation to do so.

However, if it's Applecare then it IS international (and 3 years vs 1 to boot). But I'm guessing it's not since you didn't specifically mention that.

That nicely sums up my experience with Apple service (whether here, Germany, US, or Canada).
