Hi,

My husband and I are looking for a couple of Kayaks (we live in Zurich) and being new to Switzerland we do not know where to start looking. We are beginners so not looking for the top of the range - second hand would do - does anyone have any suggestions?

what sort of kayaks are you looking for: sea kayak, whitewater, surf, polo? the word kayak is quite broad: http://playak.com/kayaks.php

i currently have a pyranha rev for sale (almost new - chf 1100), and possibly also a riot inferno (2004 - chf 700). both are good boats for whitewater and also easy tours on limmat, reuss, thur etc, but if you're planning to paddle lakes, you'll need something with more speed...

They meet Friday evenings on the Schanzengraben (Old moat) near Bhf. Selnau / Bärengasse (just have a look from the bridge, there's a kayak parcours down there).
