Hi ITUNES Users,

I redeemed my Coop Superpoints today from their website and now have 3 certificates of 15 songs (45 songs total). Hitch is I am on the ITUNES USA version and can't redeem these Swiss ITUNES songs without downloading a Swiss ITUNES program.

Anyone interested in buying the certificate numbers from me?

Hi Jill,

You can switch itunes shops without re-downloading the software. At the bottom of your itunes 'homepage' there is a drop down menu where you can swap nations. At least, that's how it works with me...

Hmmmm... I just tried this, as I thought it would solve my 'inability-to-purchase-certain-songs-due-to-geographical-location' problem. iTunes tells me my account is only valid for Switzerland, and won't let me change the country.

How is it that you can switch countries? Do you have multiple Apple IDs?

I think its just to do with the credit card you have registered, if you have a swiss credit card registered then you can access the swiss shop - I access the UK shop as I have a UK credit card still registered on my account

In a word, yes.

AFAIK you need to have a method of payment based in the country of the store. Jill would have been OK because she had CH vouchers but I need a separate account with a swiss payment card. I don't know of a way around this...

Yes, I had to sign up for another ITUNES id to redeem the certificates. Robban is correct, using certificates were fine - I was able to bypass the screen requesting Swiss credit card info.

u mean people still "pay" money for downloading?
