For sale:

Any make or model from the USA, at discounted rate - Full homoligation process completed and tax paid i.e ready to drive in switzerland

Please contact me if you are interested

Best regards

Swissfc
Can you give an example - let's say a BMW 335 or Audi S4. If I buy one from a Swiss dealer I can get a 10% discount on the list price - how much would the same car cost from you (all taxes paid, same condition as local car, 3 year EU warranty, free service for 100,000km, etc.)? Can you also get the diesel models from BMW?

Re: For sale: US imported cars

Hi Ticino,

First things first its important to note that with an american import you do not have the 3 year warranty, of course this is taken into account in the price, and as many of my customers have worked out, the saving on the car largely covers the cost of service and warranty.

If you give me an exact model - year - kms - I can give you a quote

Best regards

E.g., a BMW 335 factory new, M-sport plus usual extras, Swiss list price roughly 85-90K before discount (most dealers will give 6-10%). What would be the discount you can offer and what exactly are the warranty conditions?
Could I lease the car at conditions comparable to local ones (5-6% interest)?

Re: For sale: US imported cars

Here we go again.

Swissfc, I assume that if you are doing this for a living, that you will have some website set up with specifics and details re yourself and your expertise at this game. You have, for example, made one mistake already in stating that the warranty will not be offered on imported cars. At least for certain German marques, the guarantee is valid anywhere in the world.

To any EFers considering getting involved, I suggest you read through the long and involved discussion on this topic and make sure that any importer you are dealing with has the necessary qualifications, business licenses, etc.

Re: For sale: US imported cars

Im sorry, perhaps i was not clear,

I only import used cars - to be honest buying a brand new car is like throwing away money.

Give me 5 mins and i will get you a quote on a used one with few kms..

best regards

That depends - I look for a company car that I can lease. So far, I've realized that leasing a brand new BMW that costs 80k is about the same monthly rate as a used one for 45k (maybe 100 bucks more) & I like the warranty and free service part of it....

last time I checked, a BMW 3 series from 2006 with roughly 50,000 kms will not have a "sticker price".
Well - in Swissfc's defense I would say it does have a Eurotax value which is equal to a sticker price (dealers will mostly price at that level, especially for "commodity" cars such as 3-series, there are hundreds on autoscout24).

Re: For sale: US imported cars

Hi ticino,

sorry for the delay, For a second hand 335i sedan, 2007 with 5'000kms the price including homoligation, tax etc would be 55'000 CHF.

This car would be ready to drive in switzerland with swiss plates.

regards

Hi,

thanks a lot - was still quick! Have to admit though that I feel that difference to Swiss price levels is not big enough as this is just 10% less than a Swiss car. See this one for example - http://www.autoscout24.ch/AS24Web/De...1&page=1&row=6

Don't forget that the Swiss BMWs have free service for 100,000km - that has a value of around 3000 I would guess. Plus no hassles with the warranty.
