Reuseable nappies [Zollikerberg]

Reuseable nappies - about 20, in two sizes for sale 30CHF all in. From the Austrian company Sandys /Popolino.

The ultimate to confirm your green credentials. You buy a roll of insets (available in CH) put them between babys bum and nappies. When full throw inset into bog and nappies into washing machine.

Reuseable nappies -

Not sure this is very green, diapers here are collected and do not end up in land fills.
Washing the cloth, that uses water to wash them and to flush them away.
Green ideas seem not so green sometimes looking at all the aspects.

Electric hand dryers vs paper towel vs real towels... I think it is really a matter of "extra staff" to clean, empty, or wash the items. (Electricity costs far more than the trash collection)

An alternative is to buy a cheap fleece blanket (from Ikea or somewhere similar) and chop it up into to rectangles. They are nice and soft, rinse very easily, can be chucked in the washing machine along with the nappies, and dry in no time at all. They are also a much cheaper option than buying the ready made ones.
