The American Womans Club used to have a shop that sold furniture etc at give away prices. If they still run it get in touch with them for details. It used to have things that people who had been posted to Geneva (UN etc) and had to leave and could not take with them . I bought a Siemens Dishwasher in new condition for 50CHF.
