I am looking to buy gently used baby furniture (i.e. crib, dresser, changing table). Ideally, items that are locally made or even antiques. No IKEA please.

If there's anyone out there wanting to sell theirs - or know where I might be able to find some great pieces, please let me know.

Just drop me a PM when you know and if you are interested. I have lots of stuff for a girl and a fair amount of neutral things (sleepers, and some outfits). I think at this point most of the stuff that I still have on hand starts in larger sizes (from 9 or 12 months). Lots of coordinated outifits. All very cute and in good shape (no stains or tears or anything). I have a friend (as well as the grandma) who love to shop and send clothes from the US so it's almost all US brands (Carters, Koala Kids, Children's Place etc.).

I just want to warn against using a used and esp. an antique crib. It's unlikely something even 20 years old will meet today's safety standards. If you can buy a new one I would, I have seen co-sleepers on ebay for not too much in the UK, I'm sure the shipping isn't much.

Or even better, you could co-sleep, no need for a crib and your baby will love it

If you need boys clothes let me know, I have tons that need a good home for the cost of postage

I just want to say thank you to all who posted, the info is very helpful ... esp. for us first time mothers! Regarding the antic crib, you do have a good point! The cost was not an issue, I just wanted something with character. The search continues.

As a boy's mother I understand so much your desire to have special
things for your baby. When we've moved to Switzerland, we couldn't
go for exclusive children stuff. So, I made a very special
decoration of our son's room myself - I have painted his furniture.
Take a look at the attached photos. I have many more ideas for
painting children furniture and I would be happy to do it for your
