Dear Roman Holiday wannabees,

I bought an old-style Vespa PX125 in 2005. It's in mint condition, 2 years old, black, brown seat, 2 vespa helmets and a bike lock.

It's great for getting about town and to the lake. I don't live in Zurich anymore. I just commute in weekly so I don't use the bike. Eventually I'll get around to posting up some pictures and thinking of a suitable price.

First come, first served. I don't have a great deal of time so the first person to often something reasonable gets to scoot it away.

No tire kickers please. It works fine, low mileage 2000km ish, goes like the clappers.

Anyway, I don't have any pictures yet. next week I'll put some up. Have a look at vespa.com for a PX125. Surprisingly enough it looks the same.

For price, I'll sell it for whatever is reasonable. 2 years old, mint condition. It cost 6000 CHF including helmets and bike lock in May 2005. So knock off 20% depreciation per year and I arrive at 3840 CHF.

Just happens that I have 3850CHF sitting in the bank for a new iMac, but as Apple have just announced that they are delaying Leopard til Oct' I am quite tempted. Its looks like a very nice bike but I must resist temptation.

additional information which is useful:

the vespa is currently locked in the underground car park of my office in Zurich.

So if anybody is interested, it maybe wise to be from around this area. Attempting a Steve Mcqueen-esque bid for the border on a vespa is not a good idea.
