I will be starting B1 in Zug at the end of October (4th Chapter) so I want to get the books before hand to cover the first 3 chapters on my own.
At the school they said that they will not sell me the books before the class begins so can somebody help?

That is hilarious, please tell me you are kidding.

Don't buy other books as Migros has a special book. They use Themen but have adapted the book to suit their courses.

I am not sure what you should do but definitely push for them to sell you the books.

Are you doing the Intensiv 4 lectures a day course? I believe the books are included in the course price. If you pay in full now, I don't see why they shouldn't give you the books in advance.

The course is not confirmed yet, thus they cannot sell me just the books. It will be confirmed in mid-October when they will send me the bill. Once I pay the bill, I can also get the books.
However I want to start looking at the first 3 chapters now so that I can reach the fourth by the time the course starts.

Is there anybody who took the class in Migro and can sell me their second hand books?

Some nice EF member gave me a bunch of books. If you give me the name of the book you need I can see if I have it and send it to you, no problem.

I started my B1 course this Feburary-July from the Migros but havent finished it yet. If you want I can sell you the books for the same price, as I will have to buy them again next year. I am taking a break right now. Do tell me the name of the book and the verlag.

I have never seen them and do not know the names. There must be a text book and a work book and CDs, right?
I do not need the CDs but the 2 books.
Thanks for the offer but I would not be too excited to buy the books from you for the same price of new books. Plus as far as I remember the books were included in the bill. So I will have to buy them in few weeks time.

Here is the description of the Book. Its from Hueber and its red in colour and on the top it says LINGUA 21. You are right one is Arbeits Buch and the other one is Kursbuch. For me I paid the cost of the course and on the first day of the course bought the books and paid for them, I think 49 sfr. or so (not sure), even I was surprised I had to pay. If you want you can borrow them from me but the think is if I sell for less than next year I will have to buy for me for the same price right??? think about it.
Let me know how if thats what you are going to learn, btw my course was just once a week, so check it out first.
