we got up early too and no chance. I understood today was a pre sale for ticket corner VIP members and tomorrow is the official day they go on sale, is that correct?

If so that means ALL tickets have gone to VIP members only - apart from this VIP member ah well, not much of a U2 fan but husband is gutted

I've seen U2 on 4 occasions now, I think. And I frankly couldn't be arsed to see them a 5th.

Nope, today was a general free-for-all. I'm starting to wonder what the point is of paying 50 chuffs to Ticketcorner for "VIP" access when you don't get priority.

Well, for the price of the resellers, you could go to the Turin concert and make a weekend of it.

The cheapest standing ticket I've seen on offer so far is at €300+

wait until 1-2 weeks before the concert , there are always people who can't attend
to the concert and selling the tickets for a bargain

All may not be lost. It is very likely a second U2 Zurich Letzigrund concert will be announced, possibly later today, for Sunday September 12th. If so it is a possibility that tickets for said show will go on sale tomorrow.

There is so much demand here, and the 360 Tour shows cost so much to put on, that playing to a small stadium of 45,000 is not worth the 200 trucks etc. coming and setting up. There will be a second date.

I saw them November 5th, 1984 Edinburgh Playhouse when they were still small enough to play indoors. Could not be arsed to go again in 1987

My work colleague just ordered tickets 10 minutes ago.
I tried to order myself but I crash as soon as it is checking my credit card.
Anyway, although it is "sold out", ticketcorner might throw some more into sale during the day. Keep trying.

U2 has a history of holding back tickets as a way to thwart ticket scalping. They usually release tickets as the concert approaches, all the way up to the day of the concert. Also, tickets can re-enter the public sales system after radio stations, advertisers, sponsors, and other partners return their unused/unwanted tickets. Extra tickets might also become available a day or two before the show when the stage is installed and everyone realizes it didn't take up as much space as originally thought.

I saw them the last time they played in Letzigrund they sucked badly. Old worn out bores who can hardly play any more and dont get me started about his "voice". Bombastic circus act.
I know what im talking about too as the first time i saw them live was in 1985.

I checked their website but I still haven't found what I'll looking for.

I imagine concert tickets will be like silver and gold now.
