Cheers for organising this it was good and count me in for coming as regularly as I can. As mentioned I'll see what the setup is at the Allschwil pitches.

Just realised I have no idea who's username belongs to who apart from Carlos!

Cheers to everyone for showing up. It was a pity we had to finish early.

We definitely have the numbers for a regular game so if we can sort out where/when to play we will be looking good.

LaneyG - it would be great if you could check out the setup for the Allschwil pitches.

If not we have the option of starting at 6:30pm next week to ensure we have time for a decent game.

OK So I have enquired about Allschwil and this is what he said:

It is very difficult to get access to a football pitch in this area - this is the reason why the Actelion Soccer team is only doing friendly games away. FC Allschwil, Bachgraben etc. have their own pitches reserved for their own teams and would not want to have us in addition. As you know, I play championship with seniors of UBS and they would not let us play on their field. Tuesday at lunch is different - but would your friends be willing to play on tuesday at lunch time?
However - my intention would be to win you as a player for UBS seniors anyway - and if you want to bring your mates - even better. Our training starts on monday (see mail below) - why don't you come and do training with us?

I told him we wouldn't play on a Tuesday, and there is another team if anyone (over 32) wants to play a bit more seriously - I can't commit to that really, and am just looking for a relaxed, social game on an evening for now.... but if anyone is interested, I can put you in touch - they train on a Monday night.

Hopefully the days get longer soon & we won't need to rely on lights. Margarethen and Kannenfeld are two places that spring to mind.

Have just arrived in Basel and am looking for a five a side or 11 a side game in the local area, is you game open to middle aged and slow players too?

Please let me know when and where you guys play and if its and open game.
