Although it is a great personal hardship, I am prepared to take some food with my beer so we can sit at a table.

Hey, have been here since April but have never been free to go to one of these events. Think i might come along this time. However, as I am a poor student i can not afford to be eating out in restaurants. Would it be okay if i just came by a bit later for a couple of these wonderful beers i've been hearing so much about??

No, my good man, I shall indeed do the cooking as it ensures the survival of the majority of the guests. I am working on a date, but workshops and conferences, coupled with holiday and Mrs Boris' extended holiday mean that I'll have to do a bit of counting before furnishing you with a date for said culinary disappointment.
Never fear, though - dinner shall be done. |

Hi Polorise & those who attended tonight...
Did any of you see two women roaming aimlessly at the Alltes Tram Depot looking slightly sheepish to approach a table of random strangers to inquire into they were the "English Group"? We showed up tonight, asked a waiter for the group, were led to the back and didn't see any potential group members (i.e. hear any English) but found a load of people in business suits. Perhaps this was a fun game of more senior forum members to initiate newbies?
In any case, I hope you had a pleasant time. We drank a beer at the bar and enjoyed a walk.
Maybe the next one...

Sundae | | | | | I asked for "English Forum" and they showed me the table.
Perhaps next time.
Thanks Poloriser for organizing.

Sundae, sounds like you got an introduction to Swiss service then ... , which is a shame, as the Lord of the Prance posted, everone else found the table ok. Not to worry, MissB will organise a fun packed evening for you all in the near future.
Thanks all for turning up, even you Jen ... good bunch of people & good to see some number swapping etc going on ... now have visions of afternoon lesbian trysts , whilst the menfolks are out chopping down trees.... |

Despite the presence of all of those guys last night, I still had a really fun time. Thanks for planning the get together Polorise.
Look forward to the next one MissBehaving
Sorry you missed us Sundae. The waitstaff showed us two different tables where a lot of English was being spoken. Luckily Polorise's obnoxious voice was easy to hear above the din in the room. Next time we'll appoint someone (maybe Col Boris (his punishment for missing this social event) to wear a tall, silly hat or something....
