30.09.2007 09:00 to 18:00
*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
City/Town: Rust, Germany
Event Type: Other
Meeting Point: Europa Park

Before we wave goodbye to the summer (was there even one this year??) I thought I'd put my faith in having nice weather in September and organise a trip to Europa Park:

http://www.europa-park.de/lang-en/c51/default.html

The price is as follows:

Adults: 30 Euro
Children 4-11: 26.50 Euro
Children under 4: free

To get there you need to get a train to Freiburg and from there get a regional train to Ringsheim train station.

There is a shuttle bus from here to the park which leaves at 09.35am so I would propose meeting between 9am and 9.15am at Ringsheim train station at the shuttle pick-up point.

Everyone is welcome and the more the merrier!!

If the weather does not play ball then I will rearrange it accordingly or if necessary cancel it

Hope to see you there!

EDIT: sorry need to move the date by one day as my friend is not arriving in Basel until Sat morning
RSVP'd Yes: 10 (5 members and 5 guests)

Re: EF trip to Europa Park

Did this a few years ago - there was a direct bus leaving Zurich at around 7am and if I remember correctly it was pretty cheap or even free.

It left from the bus-stands near the Hbf (where the sihlquai tram stop is).

Though I'd post this in case you're looking for other options.

Have fun!

~ Nanda.

Re: EF trip to Europa Park

Excellent about the bus from Zurich....that makes life much easier for the Zurich folks. We can arrange to meet at the park entrance in that case. What time does the bus arrive at the park?

For Basel I do not believe there is anything like this but if anyone knows differently please let me know otherwise we'll have to do the above.........

I would suggest checking up first if this bus is still running. I went on it some years ago. There is an info booth I believe at the bus-stop.

I don't think you'll have time to make kids before 29th Sept but if you already have some then bring them along if you want

OK fair enough - I have some somewhere so will see if I can find - I do not think persuading them will be the problem ...

Re: EF trip to Europa Park

Good luck with it. I Europapark on a weekday earlier this year (you avoid all the queues on Schooldays!) and it was absolutely mad. That Silver bullet thing is terrifying. But terrifying in a 'what-a-buzz' sort of way. I'm just a big kid really.

Enjoy.

Ooh I dunno. I chickened out of one of the rides on Messeplatz during the Autumn fair

Sunday's fine, it gives me the essential Saturday lie-in.

HI Mel

Sunday is actually better for us -i.e. for those who enjoy the little rides and are scared of the big ones.
