What: Drinking at the Viadukt
When: Thursday Nights (of course), weekly based on interest
Where: The Viadukt Market--meeting place is, as always, Grumpy's cheese stand...(address of the Market: Viaduktstrasse 8005, Zürich)
Time: Usually around 18.00-18.30 til close (20.00). Apparently the bar stays open til 23.00/midnight (FYI).

Get down at Dammweg.
From the direction the tram is going...its left...under the bridge (its actually the bridge itself...)
The cheese stand is inside the markthalle and not a standalone shop

It's also a fair walk from Hardbrücke, so I'd suggest taking the train one stop further to HB.
The Hardbrücke stops usually pull in on Platform 21-24, so walk RIGHT TO THE BACK of the platform and exit the station there (Bahnhoff sihlquai or something).
Both the trams (4 and 13) exit from there, and both head to Dammweg.
You can't get lost on the tram, and it will be about the same time as walking.
If you are still hell bent on walking..... follow the Hardbrücke bridge (walking under it) until you get to the tram lines (past the Abaton kino etc).
Dammweg is one stop back from the bridge (towards the city).
You seriously can't miss the Viadukt from there.
There is a dirty great train line heading over the road which makes up the entire front of the Viadukt Markthalle (not to mention 6ft white letters saying VIADUKT over the door)

yeah, I was in the middle of putting together a new thread (and then stopped)... but if it has to be "official", I think it takes away from the point of having a "casual drinks night" and it makes it less enticing for me to want to go. I always enjoyed the nature of the night. No one felt like they had to "entertain" b/c they organized it. It just was what it was...and if five people or 25 showed up, it didn't matter. It was still great.
I will continue to start the new unofficial thread if consensus says yes.
