UTH - have they ruled out giardia ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001333/)? A friend of mine came back from Thailand with that and it took doctors in the UK weeks to diagnose it, despite all their fancy tests. Jokers. In the end, another friend (a vet so some medical knowledge!) suggested that giardia might be the cause and when the GP did a specific test for that, bingo.

The practice seems quite concerned as they keep calling me back and checking me out, it's got CJ quite worried. I am off there now, I will ask for a Giardisis specific test...
My biggest concern is that I am yet to find out if I am notifiable, so I am avoiding contact etc , but the kids still have to go to school , it might all be a bit late if I have a highly contagious lurgy thingymabob...
I would say watch this space , but it isn't a pretty sight.

I won't be able to make it today, having being invited to my first official "non-EF" zurich event: an exciting vernissage at the ETH. a full immersion in swiss design culture!
going to miss the english ale - and the mystical clotted cream. I'll make up next thursday...
