Very nice evening indeed. Nice meeting new people and seeing my old mates. Loved the conversation, the wine(s), and of course GG's cheese as usual
Today it's the best I've felt the whole week - a week of taking medicines, staying indoors and not smoking and I felt like c***, and an evening of everything but, and I feel awesome. Huhm....
And as for the question "What is romance?", in addition to what I said yesterday , I like this definition below from an article that a friend sent me. "It's making toast for someone in the morning and drawing a heart in the butter, then watching it soak into the bread like it was never there at all, but you know it was." | | This user would like to thank BokerTov for this useful post: | |

Romance is taking something normal, everyday, common, average and making it special.
But hey, metrosexual man is so last decade, the modern, caring man is out, the romance is dead - just let the chemicals fire off in your brain - pick the person you want - and go and swap bodily fluids |

If you guys would have asked me these kind of questions yesterday I'd be a tad confused. You see, back in the old country, romance is a type of book...

We must distinguish between romance as a noun and romantic as a verb, yesterday we were using the noun and discussing the adjective: ro·mance
1 adj. roʊˈmæns, ˈroʊ mæns; v. roʊˈmæns/ noun 1. a novel or other prose narrative depicting heroic or marvelous deeds, pageantry, romantic exploits, etc., usually in a historical or imaginary setting. 2. the colorful world, life, or conditions depicted in such tales. 3. a medieval narrative, originally one in verse and in some Romance dialect, treating of heroic, fantastic, or supernatural events, often in the form of allegory. 4. a baseless, made-up story, usually full of exaggeration or fanciful invention. 5. a romantic spirit, sentiment, emotion, or desire.
6. romantic character or quality.
7. a romantic affair or experience; a love affair.
8. ( initial capital letter ) Also, Romanic. Also called Romance languages. the group of Italic Indo-European languages descended since a.d. 800 from Latin, as French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Provençal, Catalan, Rhaeto-Romanic, Sardinian, and Ladino. Abbreviation: Rom. ro·man·tic
/roʊˈmæn tɪk/ adjective1. of, pertaining to, or of the nature of romance; characteristic or suggestive of the world of romance: a romantic adventure.
2. fanciful; impractical; unrealistic: romantic ideas. 3. imbued with or dominated by idealism, a desire for adventure, chivalry, etc. 4. characterized by a preoccupation with love or by the idealizing of love or one's beloved. 5. displaying or expressing love or strong affection.
6. ardent; passionate; fervent.
7. ( usually initial capital letter ) of, pertaining to, or characteristic of a style of literature and art that subordinates form to content, encourages freedom of treatment, emphasizes imagination, emotion, and introspection, and often celebrates nature, the ordinary person, and freedom of the spirit ( contrasted with classical).
8. of or pertaining to a musical style characteristic chiefly of the 19th century and marked by the free expression of imagination and emotion, virtuosic display, experimentation with form, and the adventurous development of orchestral and piano music and opera.
9. imaginary, fictitious, or fabulous.
10. noting, of, or pertaining to the role of a suitor or lover in a play about love: the romantic lead.

I would venture to guess closer to 8. I can text you if you want (but I only have a really old number for you)... | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | is what I think about that. And if you are going to be there, I know I am in trouble.
