I think this is actually a one-off thing, it is to celebrate the fact the the Lavaux has been given World Heritage status by UNESCO.
The fetes de vendanges which you may be thinking about,take place every year, at the end of September and are actually the following weekend in Lutry , there may be others in Cully etc. There are usually bands/groups playing in the street, perhaps a funfair, parades, and lots of wine and wine caves open

Ok, so we have two potential events, the one off next week on the 22, and another one at the end of Sep, not sure which one is the best time to go, when I was up there last weekend, there were only posters for the 22 Sept...

Hey, great I have some people! I was beginning to think noone here likes wine!

I was thinking of meeting at lausanne train station to go to Cully, and then walk up from there, or alternatively meet at Cully and then walk up to the various caveux. The fete sounds like fun, i heard quite a few people talk about it.

So, shall we go for the afternoon? How about we meet at 2:00pm at Cully train station?

Actually, there is a train leaving Lausanne at 14:00 (platform 3), and arriving in Cully at 14:10, so how does that sound?

Well, seeing as in order to meet up we need a firm plan, and there is none (even though I tried to push the issue a bit yesterday by suggesting both a time and potential trains), I am out.
