Sure! We can meet at the market around 10:45. From there, we can walk to the coffee bar (en route to Geant) and then to Geant. So you could park at Geant and walk to the market (and back) from there.
Or if you're really lazy and enjoy parking, you can drive to the market, then to the coffee bar and then to Geant.

I guess that means Angela doesn't ride a bike.
Biff - I'll get you some spinach (we can split a kilo) and maybe the bread too!

We were thinking of going shopping in St Louis on Saturday too but we usually walk over and bus back - can carry more food than on the bikes. WE haven't been to the market before - is it better than the Basel market?

Bigger (i.e. more stalls), all local produce, and much cheaper. Cheaper that the Swiss supermarkets. In fact, it's even cheaper than the German and French supermarkets for most fruit and veg.

The biggest differences you'll see on the "olives", meat (of course) and pasta stalls - one can actually afford the fresh pasta on a wages less than 120 k CHF pa.
Can't go - daughter's birthday party...

We're definitely coming but will walk over so can meet at the Market at 10:45. We'll be the bewildered middle aged couple salivating at all the goodies
I think we've seen the market grounds - but got there about 2pm when it was long gone - turn right where you would turn left for Geant?

I might see you there, we usually go to the market after dog school that finishes at 10. We'll be the ones with 2 big dogs.
Angela, for parking, turn right to Rue du Temple, drive past the market and after the second crossing (rue de Synagogue) there is a bit bigger parking place, usually some space there.
Susy yes, check on the map, it's Rue de Huningue you want, market is at Pl de l'Europe. And indeed, they usually pack up around noon.

I'll give my mobile number (probably cheaper to text as most phones will be roaming on a French network) in case we don't spot each other. I'll be the non-bewindered middle aged singleton on a bike salivating at all the goodies.
Oh, and yes, coffee with cake. Definitely.
