Thanks Cazzamia, for the PM and I will try to confirm the extra 2 places this week.
To anyone else wishing to go - you will see that the event is almost certainly limited to 18 people.
Pleas do NOT add any more names to the list - send me a PM first and I will get back to you.
Cheers,
Basher |

I've taken the liberty of closing this event to RSVPs seeing as instructions are hard for some to follow . As these dinners are very popular, I'm sure nobody will pull out but @Basher if you'd like me to re-open them, please send me a PM. Thanks.

It`s a shame to have to close an event so early but as it is christmas, we just can`t add numbers up to the last minute as we normally do, as a lot of restuarants are already completely full! As Uncle Max said, if I can negoitiate some more seats, I will ask him to re-open the event (taking into account those who have already sent me a PM of course).

You may trying negotiating with the owner for a fixed cost per person (different costs for veggie vs meat). This may also convince him to up the number of people. We have done this in the past. Basically he charged a fixed cost per person veggie and supplied a fix cost for meat skewers. And threw in a belly dancer for kicks.
[If this works, I'll take two spots.]

Well I went to the restaurant tonight and asked if we could increase the seating - unfortunately he said that it was not possible because they are COMPLETELY booked up almost for the whole of pre-Christmas December.
However - there is hope - he told me that if anyone cancels or reduces the number, he will call me and offer us first choice.
That`s what he told me anyway . . . he looked friendly . . . and I am known to be somewhat gullible . . . we`ll see. I have a feeling that there will be more places - we just have to be patient. . . z z z z

I'd love to join with a friend of me, if they finally open more space. Have tried for ages to join one of the A-Z dinners but has not been possible so far. I cross fingers this one can happen. Thanks for organizing Basher!
Cheers

I've already missed the last one and now I will miss this one!
If we do McDonalds for M, then there should be plenty of space for everyone to join, right..?

APERO from 6.30pm at Schmucklerski Bar. It's just 2mins walk from the restaurant on the other side of the street.

I am so excited about this...Basher, I don't want to be a pain in the proverbial, but do you think it would be possible to ask them a very special request since we are such a big group, and so forth...
You see, they make one of the tastiest and most favorite dessert in the world, Kanafeh. I know, because I asked them. Problem is, they only make it in the morning and serve it at lunchtime until finished, and don't make it again in the afternoon. Again, I know, because I asked them.
I have only gone there for dinner, never for lunch, so I always missed this delicious treat...imagine the excitement of seeing it on the menu, then the disappointment of being told "we don't serve it at dinner because we make it in the morning only".
Do you think it would be possible to ask them pretty please if they could possibly make some for Friday evening? I would even buy multiple portions to take home and reheat later if that would help convince them...
Yes, I am that bad - alternatively, one could say Kanafeh is THAT good!

A quick reminder:

Just a few hours to go. Getting thirsty and hungry.

Prickly pear?
Good times
P.S. Dear forum member " Total", care to explain your groan above? Not that I care, I am just quite curious as to why - I don't recall even seeing you at dinner, so I was just wondering.
