Event Type: Sports

Meeting Point: Kletternzentrum Schlieren ZH

When: Saturday 13th and 20th October) 13:00 should go until about 18:00 latest. Maybe a dinner afterwards?

Where: Both of these first events will be at the Gaswerk Kletternzentrum Schlieren.

What to bring: Climbing gear equipment if you have, suitable shorts and t-shirt/singlet (might get a little dirty), clothing for after climbing social event (optional). A cafeteria is on sight for drinks and light snacks. Changeroom and shower also on site.

You are welcome to come to one or both events. If there is sufficient interest it may become a revolving event. The first two events will be at Schlieren, afterwards we might try to add the new centre at Milandia Greifensee (opens in October, so better to wait until the novelty wears off).

Cost: 22CHF entry ( 47CHF with shoe / harness hire)

When submitting your RSVP, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EXPERIENCE LEVEL AS FOLLOWS:

Level A: Newbie – no climbing experience, need introduction / instruction
Level B: Almost newbie – need instruction or refresher
Level C : Experienced and competent in top rope – need no instruction but cannot instruct
Level D: Experience in top rope – can offer basic top rope instruction one on one.
Level E: Experience in both top and lead climbing – will offer basic top rope instruction one on one.
Level F: Experience in both top and lead climbing – want to climb, not instruct!

Only choose an experience level you are sure of!!!

Add a single asterisk (*)if you have your own equipment, add double asterisk (**) if you have also have a rope (must be min. 40m).

LEAD ROPE CLIMBERS ONLY- Add your difficulty rating if you wish (eg 5c, 6a)

So, example : litespeed: Level D (**) 5b

We need to ensure there are at least enough instructors (D, E) to every newbie (A,B). Therefore only RSVP if you are sure you can make it!!! "Maybe" RSVPs will count as a "No" Out of safety reasons, no children!!! Safety will be paramount, so only do or instruct what you can do!

Suggestions for after climbing social event are welcome!
