Reserved Thu 20.10 6pm to 9pm for a party of 18 belonging to Paul of The Local.
2 Tram stops from Geneva main station to Butini ( Mole in between ), direction Nations, or a 10 minute walk. Look right, backtrack 10m from tram stop. Either Tram 13 or 15 will do.

Not as popular as the EF members made it out to be then
Typical EFers...all talk and no action.

Grumpy, that's too bad. Maybe you can make it laters?

Walking 2 kilometres to get a bus into town, and arranged a lift home from Bachet afterwards... does that count as 'action'?

I am a bit miffed we had quite a few EFers in our area who were very verbal about what they needed to know, in terms of EF, Admin, changes. Now, the ultimate EFer is trucking himself to see us only to give us those answers...where are the folks? Lausanne? Hello? Geneva? La Cote? If somebody needs a couch to crash on, lemi know.
If only for the free drinks, and hanging out with us, having another fabulous Suisse Romandie meet up..cmon and lift your hands up in the air!
Ok, I am not so nutty in my offline persona, as my EF friends can atest to. So, don't be afraid.

Just imagine there was a potential for peace and no one turned up.

I met with Paul last night in Zurich and he's a considerate and generous man. If you'd like a drink with some other friendly Forumers, feel free to pop down tonight and ask him about what EF means to you or what suggestions you'd like him to consider.
Face to face is so much more conducive when it comes to communication.

I am a bit of a wuss driving in the city so you might have actually regretted it after experiencing my driving. |

Driving in GE is a nightmare this hour, but easy parking at Cornavin and a straight shot right to Pickwick. Come next time, guys, when we have another Romandie EF get together, their fish and chips deliver.
Ok, so we had a fab kinda close family meet up, I am still thinking about how positive this all was...So much new info, an interesting history of The Local et al., and most of all - the face behind all these the local forums, is a lovely humble, dedicated and respectful man who took on board all the little and big worries we were pouring over him left and right these past two days and explained patiently. When the info flows, communication works, people pull back their claws and recall what we all have created and how much it matters to us, it's all good in here again, innit..
Thanks, Paul, and we are all looking forward to your next visit. I am sure you will have a few couches to crash on and some more nice moments, hanging out with real folks who are behind our avatars
Anjela, it was great meeting you. Sky, crossing fingers and see you soon, xo.

Was great meeting Paul and Anjela, got some funny looks as I taught MiniMud how to slam her arm down on the bar and lean forward with a cocked eyebrow to get service (I thought Irish Pubs always had kids running around ).
Paul is a perfect gentleman and certainly erased any lingering thoughts that EF has been taken over by an evil empire. A very down to earth and no-BS dude. Glad I went; just wish some more members could have made it. The 5 year old contingent was well represented though, making up 25% of the turnout .

Nice to met you too, MusicChick, along with Mud and Mudminichick. And Paul of course. Sorry I prattled on so much; you can tell I don't get to speak to english-speakers very often, can't you?!
Mud, I think the Pickwick counts as an English pub, they don't 'do' children quite as well as the Irish. 'Children are to be seen but not heard'!
