Quite bummed to be out of town, but I highly, highly recommend hanging out with Swisspea: she is a goldmine of information for high quality+cheap shopping options, not to mention a very fun lady!

We had a couple of craft meetings, but I was the only one who hosted

We have the shopping tour today, and I encourage the shopping group to go to the Anglican Church Bazaar at Enge next Saturday (12th November).

After that, the Onion Market in Bern - Monday 28 November.

I was thinking after that to do a day trip to the Christmas markets in Colmar, France.

Then Christmas arrives...

Oh no, i wish i saw this tour! Will you have another one this year? Have started getting into sewing now that I've purchased a nice Swiss vintage Elna sewing machine

Tip: Ricardo.ch is full of old, still usable, sewing machines that can go for as low as 10CHF!

These days I'm looking for cloth and leather pieces so that I can make cases and bags... The dynamo jugendkulturhaus by the limmat has a nice little sewing workshop that also sells materials, I guess the price might be good since it's sorta subsidized by the city, but i have nothing to compare to. they also rent out their workspace + sewing machine use for 8CHF/hour (5CHF if you're under 28).

I'm around. Just got back from a short trip to Salzburg. Too much sightseeing, not enough shopping (and Friday 6th Jan was a public holiday so most shops closed)...

I have one day to recover and then back to work - will post in a week or two with some suggested dates...
