Dear you,

I am a new joiner in this English Forum. =) Found this forum by luck while searching for some information of what club or party and things to do this new year's eve... this is the first New years eve in the past 3 years that I am not working!!! =D Therefore thought of gathering some friends to go somewhere for a drink and count 3-2-1 together.

Any suggestion? French or German part is not an issue, however, better to be bigger cities therefore will be easier to travel back home the next morning. =)

You could go to Zurich. We went there last year and it was good. There are fireworks and a big gathering around the lake, very near to the railway station.
The party lasts pretty much the whole night and you can then take the first morning train back home.
