Happy Monday everyone! Pay-day is around the corner, so this is just a friendly reminder to "budget" in the roast next month. And I will be sending the first IBAN pm early next week. |

Hey all-
Sorry for not sending out IBAN info yet. I was hoping numbers would increase... If we don't have at least 25 participants, this event is not worth the time/investment of the restaurant.
I will wait a couple more days before starting to collect money (it is less than two weeks away now). This will give me time to decide whether the event will be on or whether we will need to cancel. This will also give "you" time to decide if you would like to join us.
Bring some friends and come on out. All us "yes's" hope you will. |

Come on folks! This a fab and very well organised event. We wouldn't hire a car and travel from Basel if it wasn't.
I'll see if I can round up two extra from Basel......we have space in the car if people want a lift?

Decision on whether or not to cancel will be made on Saturday or (latest) Sunday. If you are even remotely interested in coming, please indicate it by then. If the numbers stay the same, we will cancel. | | This user would like to thank JLF for this useful post:

The meal is well worth it! Everything is done from fresh including horseradish sauce and apple pie. Plenty to eat and we had like 3 helpings last time! Can't move or need any food for next 2 days. Plus the company is excellent, so really worth going with very loose clothing!
Would hate to see this event not happening because of number this time. I missed the last one already! | | The following 2 users would like to thank gourmet for this useful post:

Don't do that, just charge the extra 495 CHF to mirfield's credit card (I'll PM you the number )

A little bump for our friend and excellent organizer JLF.
Guys, if you are in town, this event is a "MUST GO" - food is delicious, plenty, and always coming in multiple rounds.
The venue, what can I say? Pool, darts, friendly owner and staff, comfortable inside and outside (well, more inside now, with this cold!). Plus, you get off the train in Sood Oberleimbach, take a ramp of stairs up (or the elevator, if you're lazy me ) and you have arrived. That's right! Super convenient.
What better way to beat this awful weather than to have a warm and cozy meal with excellent company at a great place?
And let's not forget the drinks...plenty, large selection, delicious.
If I was not on "family duty" out of the country, you can bet I'd be there! Oh, and by the way: if you are new to Zurich/Switzerland/EF, and/or you've never gone to an EF event before, this is the perfect event to attend. Why?
If you're shy, it's not a crowded bar full of strangers (not that this would be bad anyway ), so it gives you a chance to meet a few new people in a relaxed setting, without pressure, and you can actually talk to the people.
If you are hesitant about going to events because you have kids in tow, this is the perfect event once again, for the above reasons, and also because it's extremely kid-friendly - I know that at least one EF member brings her (adorable) kid along.
If you are none of the above, it's still the perfect event to attend!
