If you arrive early, please make a point to check out the owner of the British Cheese Centre (did i just say that?), he'll be more than happy to show you his assets... | | | | | Thursday (and Friday and Saturday) nights you can now also drink beer, port, wine and bubbly at our bar at the front of the market until 9.30 or even 10 if you ask nicely. I may be persuaded to keep the bagel grill hot too.
and by assets I assume you mean my collection of Vintage Ports |

@ smtrickett, From memory, I think if you are in Zug, your best bet is to join the Zurich mob. I did a short looksee here, where they advertise, and it only came up with ZH.
In fact I do know that there was a guy who used to come up from Zug every week or so. Now he is clever enough to have moved to ZH- purely to be able to hash of course..
@ cess...
i wasn't actually thinking of the drink.. more of the run- which will be pretty flat (see, i'm only "winter fit", as one nice member put it..)
There may of course be a few people there, who will be up for the challenge of the drink

Thanks for the advice, I think I will. Hoping to find some dedicated trail runners as well. I enjoy 2-3 hour runs on most saturdays, at a good pace. | Quote: | | | | | @ smtrickett, From memory, I think if you are in Zug, your best bet is to join the Zurich mob. I fall into training for an Ultra at the start of July - so you'll have plenty of chances to run this year!

seems like the girl runners will outnumber the boy runners yet again..
is it too much of a brass monkey for some of you, or will you be sitting back keeping the beer warm?

And I'm afraid my van will be in for its second MFK re-test so you'll have to put your bags in my car. There might be two Rottweilers in there too to guard them though |

I hope you will bring sleeping bags for the dogs..
Or one of those electric blankets that you can plug into the cigarette lighter?

I think I might come along this time and introduce myself. I've been wanting to come to an EF event for the last 8 months, I'm off this week so there's no excuse.... |

@cathair. It will be good to see you!
But don't run off quickly, before someone has a chance to introduce themselves, like I saw the 2 young, new looking girls do, the last time I was there. You know who you are...
Or take the initiative and introduce yourself
Some of us only bite when asked nicely. This thread should waken up some time tomorrow, if you were planning on coming just for the drinking, and not for the running.
If you're coming for the run as well, remember to dress warmly! Its not a fashion contest. Bring a hat and gloves.

Just to say thank you, Ranga, for setting this up and introducing me to the ZH3.
It was a fun evening, with a brisk walk in fresh air with a cool group.
If anyone is interested in some fun exercise (in Zurich) I can recommend taking a look at these guys. They are extremely welcoming and all levels can join in - as they say: run, walk or crawl
I look forward to joining in again soon. |

Of course with the help of a number of other forum members, who shall remain nameless unless they want to be named- which I doubt they do- but you know who you are Thank you guys!!
Sorry i didn't spend much time with the usual mob- as seems to be the norm now, I was a wee bit tired...
Considering the plummeting temperatures, there was a surprisingly good turnout!! About 20 or so runners, and a very (!!) full house keeping the beer and cheese warm! The flour trail was a little difficult to follow through the snow, but with a little imagination, and a lot of good spirit, it all went well.
For the next run, next week- those that are going- remember that ski pants, ski jackets, are perfectly acceptable attire in the dark(!!) As are fluffy gloves and pompom hats! If it is -12, dress accordingly!
