Meeting Point: Bottom of Sörenberg-Platz Chair Lift
I'm planning to go to Sörenberg for a day trip on Sunday 5th February if anyone is interested in joining me. Skiers and boarders are welcome as well as anyone just interested in a day out to meet other EFers.

Sörenberg is accessible by rail and bus from Zürich, Basel, Bern, and Luzern and it is offered as a package by SBB under their Snow n Rail discount.

Sample train times for Sunday 05.02.12:
Basel 2 hr 28 mins
Bern 1 hr 23 mins
Luzern 1hr 02 mins
Zurich 1hr 55 mins

I'm an intermediate skier and I'll go down most slopes with varying degrees of style and ability.

I'll post more details (assuming anyone wants to join me) nearer the date but I suggest meeting at 9am at the bottom of the Sörenberg-Platz 4-seater chair lift . The bus stops here and there is also a car park for those driving.

Great review Ferkel! That's exactly it (in a nutshell)!

I'll be going again as the scenery alone is worth the trip! My friends of Facebook are sick jealous of the pics I uploaded and they're right to be!

I Had a great day with the both of you. what an awesome experience and really hope we can do it again. Ferkel, thank you for your guidance an patience. Steffano, it was good to have a compadre to brave the unknown with. The days three amigos should definitely ride again.

Sorry that I didn't manage it, but had an invitation to Laax, that couldn't be refused

I presume the weather kept many indoors, as Laax was also almost empty.

It was lovely to meet you both and I'm glad you joined me. It was wonderful to be skiing in the sunshine for a change. Although at -24C it was a bit cold and I'm slowly thawing out!

But the weather was perfect! I really don't get why there were so few people out yesterday... Not that I'm complaining!

Sure it was chilly but whether it's -10°C or -25°C it's really all the same when you're skiing/snowboarding!

I really don't care.
had no issue enjoying the almost empty slopes and the short(sometimes nonexistent) queues.
