| | | Motorcycle ride sunday 27th May
Next one.
Again, I will be working this weekend, so can't join. Am sure you can come up with somewhere to go, depending on weather :-)
Also open on FB, under our events. I'll try and keep the info flowing between the two forums.
Enjoy your riding, Chris.

No route decided yet, to my knowledge, though I'd like to see central Switzerland this time if the others are up for it!

Hi Lance,
As I'm not riding this one, again, bloomin working, if you suggest central CH, or propose the route, then go for it. I'm hoping in june to do the Brunig/Grimsel/Furka/Klausen day like last year, was great fun.
@HAT, we have a group page on FB with 64 of us, mostly also on here, and the Glocals ZRH biking group. Feel free to join us if you wish, ef swiss bikers.

Lance,
Klausen, Grimsel & Co. are still closed. Even if if they were open, ploughing through the melt water is not much fun.
You could ride some lesser hills like Horgenberg, Hirzel, Etzel, Vorderberg, Sattelegg, Ibergeregg, Sattel, Raten, and Gubel where you can have a glimpse of the once top secret "Bloodhound" missile site.
Put your TomTom to good use and discover some lonely backroads.
Robert

THat sounds interesting, will look at that for ride after this when I'm going. Would be interested to see the Bloodhound site. And it will make a nice background for the group photo :-)

I did Sattel in early March. And Ibergeregg is already ticked this year, too, but thanks for the other tips Robert!

Chris | | | | | Chris, might be a bit tricky to shoot a group photo in front of the Bloodhounds, unless we register for a guided tour: http://www.mhsz.ch/
I shot the picture through the fence.

Hey All,
Weather forecast looks good for the weekend so far.
Glaubenberg and Glaubenbuelen pass (not far from Luzern) are both open.
Only problem is it might be Alpaufzug (taking cows up) weekend - will see if I can find out something.
Hoping to be on my new bike this weekend :-)
Gruss to all

Gotthard opens today as well - Klausen and Furka will open next week.
What sort of wheels have you bought, Angie?

Lease hasn't been approved yet, but if all goes well, I will have a honda crossrunner (VFR800x). I have been looking for a new bike for AGES but I had a hard time finding one that ticked all my boxes (if you know what I mean!) and I test rode this last week and loved it. We also tested a BMW r1200r and both Mike and I loved both bikes so we are thinking of swapping his GS for the r so we both can ride both bikes (the GS is too big for me to handle!)
So excited to be getting a new bike (or maybe two!)
Looking forward to the passes being open too :-)
Gruss
Angie

Robert | | | | | WTF??? And to think I've probably been cycling past this a few times now!
I'm beginning to wonder about the swiss...missile sites, nuclear bunkers, a gun in every house...I guess neutral is not the same as unarmed...

Looking forward to hearing about your route and will try to join you depending on family duties.
Collected my Kawasaki Versys back from its service today where I was asked 'have you been on a track day' ? How did they know??!!
