My favourite beach too - Excellent idea! I'm in! Will bring cold drinks and picnicky things! The buskers' festival is on this week in Neuchatel too! http://www.neuchateltourisme.ch/en/e...atel.1791.html |

Kamarate - it would be great to see you again - it's been too long!
Sapin - how do you always know about all these great events in the region? I feel totally out of the loop...

They were setting up the beer stands for the buskers festival in town this afternoon.
You should read the local freebie paper to find out more about what's going on in the area. That's where I get most of my info from. | | This user would like to thank Belgianmum for this useful post: | |

Or the Courrier Neuchatelois- don't you get it for free in your letter-box? It is such a shame that ex-pats often miss out, due to language difficulties, but your French is excellent
Buskers is great fun - hope you go.

I agree, I don't know how this is already our second summer in Neuchatel - that went fast!
Anyone else interested in this lake day? Should be a good time!

Wish I could!
I think I'll be there on Friday around 1pm, but can't stay for long as I'm a very busy woman. |

Hmmmmm looking forward to hear about the reasons why
Fab brass band from the Balkans (Molotov brass) last night at the Buskers' - wondered if I'd bump into you there. Looked at the Cerf, lots of British voices, but nobody I knew.

I didn't go to the Cerf, but had a wander round the Buskers. There was an excellent brass group I think from Bern. Sexy tuba player (not a phrase you hear very often).

There were quite a few randomly playing/performing at midday today. Two girl violinists were really good.

@ Odile
Oh yes, for sure! I wasn't going to interrupt the performances though. Just admire from afar.
@ BM
Saw them today. They were pretty good, but there was a string quartet last night who played Air on a G String while doing some pretty impressive choreography (especially the cellist - don't know how she managed to produce such pure notes!).

Sorry can't come to spa with you. T is still on holiday and whilst I would trust him at home on his own I definitely don't trust his pyromaniac friend who would almost certainly be hanging around
Not really the sort of place I could drag him along to now is it. |

Why not- there is an indoor, and outdoor hot pools with massage jets, jakuzzis, etc, and a 'normal' temperature pool - lots of kids too. Honest, I'm sure he would love it.
