This regular "Intermediate German Conversation Group Basel (B1+)" on Wednesday evenings meets at the "Zum Isaak" restaurant at Münsterplatz in Basel. Drinks/food are pay as you go.

Conversation is free as I am not a teacher, only a learner. The group does not meet on Swiss holidays or over Christmas/New Years. Other exceptions i.e. travel, work, to be noted below.

The aim of the group: to enjoy each other's company, relax with a drink, and get over "the fears" of speaking High German. We are a small regular group (since about 2 years meeting) and are at least intermediate fluency (B1/B2). We learn from each other. Sometimes we have a fluent and/or native speaker join, who gently corrects our grammar (or our living dictionary ).

On October 31st, we'll do a tour of the Herbstmesse. Meeting point to be decided, most likely Petersplatz / Universität at 19:00.

At the moment, I am not sure if I can organize that evening free. If I can't get one of the other regulars to organise for the 7th, I'll have to cancel that night

Hallo zusammen! Hello everybody!

I've decided to cancel the November 7th meet entirely. Last night's Herbstmesse traipsing was just Ginge and me. Ohne Schlaf, Gluwein und weiss Wein geht's nicht zusammen. Not a good combination.

Let's see each other again on the 14.November. Very busy week next week
