Sorry - time slipped by

just called them and someone already made a booking for 20 people.

Okay. Who made the booking? Is that booking for 20, our booking or someone elses? OUrs should have been for 24, plus possibly another 6.

I don't want to trot over now and find that I am double booking. NOr do I want to not go over, and find that we have not booked at all and that the 20 is a totally different group.

So, if anyone has booked, please let me know asap.

Okay, whoever made the booking for 20, did so over the 'phone, but the restaurant staff did not take a name. I have tried phoning that number but am getting no reply.

Please, if it was an EF person making the booking for our group, let me know eithet here, or in a PM. I have promised to go back to the restaurant tonight, to let them know whether they have two groups of over 20 tomorrow, or just one.

Done! We have a confirmed booking for 24, with the possibility of up to another 6 ( the maybe's. ) the restaurant staff were very apologetic just now, even though nothing was their fault. Very nice people. So see you all there tomorrow at 7pm.

I'm opening a book on how many will actually turn up. My guess is 16. But I'd love to be proved wrong and see dozens turn up.

some people always drop out, i think about 18 will come... we shall see. i was going to book a flight for tomorrow to UK and back but then would be back a bit too late for the meal, oh well.
