Following on from a small but oh so enjoyable kick-off, the Basel Book Club now lives.

We have opted for the following framework: meet twice a month and alternatively have public and privately hosted meetings. The public meetings will be posted on the forum.

We'll focus on a pre-selected book each time: however our get-togethers are primarily social events and not literary seminars. We'll also run an exchange: bring along books you've read and swap it against books others have read.

At our Feb. 25 session the chosen book is: Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel.

For those coming for the first time: we're the ones at the table with a pile of books on it

as a few new people are planning on coming we'll opt for the public meeting place again. I'll confirm later but 90% chance that it'll be 7pm at Starbucks Steinenvorstadt in Basel.

hope you and guest can make it.

Reminder!

tomorrow we meet at 7pm in Starbucks (Steinenvorstadt, Basel). (The group of people with loads of books on the table.) Topic book tomorrow is "Like Water for Chocolate"; remember to bring along some books: both such as we could perhaps select to become the next topic book and such that you are happy to exchange.
