On 28 October, there will be a special night at the Kunsthaus in Zurich with performances of the Zurich Ballet in all rooms, including those that are normally not accessible to the public. I don't know what exactly to expect, but I do hope it will be an interesting evening. I hope it will also give us the chance to chat, which is why I think it could be a nice thing to do with the singles over thirty. The idea is to get to know others who are also single and about the same age and who share similar interests. It is not a dating event and there is no age control. It is not a club, either, so that it is always different people who come and no one has to be worried about not knowing anyone else - getting to know others is the whole point.

It starts at 7 and ends at midnight, tickets cost CHF 14, reservations are not possible. I will go there to queue at 6.30, hoping that that's early enough. If you want to come, you can either let me know or just come. If someone is interested in coming, I will come up with a way how to recognize me.

Brief update: So far, 8 people have told me that they want to come - cool!

For those who don't know me: I am 1.70 tall and planning on wearing a black hat and a yellow shawl. Now, I only hope I still remember to wear that when I leave home for the Kunsthaus on Saturday . Otherwise, just look for a group that speaks English and put on a lost look, and we will spot you.

Thanks to all who came last night. There were 9 of us - a mixed group, as always. As this event takes place every year, I thought I should let you know how it was.

They did two rounds of five performances in different rooms of the Kunsthaus, trying to capture the spirit of the respective painter or painting. The ballet performances were impressive, especially as the audience stood right around the dance floor. The problem was that you could not really see too much ifyou were not really standing in the front. So, the average height ones in the group decided to skip every second performance and stand in the first row the other times. I then watched the ones we had missed the second time around.

All in all a very inspiring evening.
