Hi Folks

During last Friday night`s drinks in town, I was encouraged to organise an Oriental dinner event.

We are planning to meet around 7.30 .As we need to make reservations for this type of event, let me know if you are planing to join. I will anyhow make a couple of extra reservations for guests or last minute joiners just in case..

I would double check with them about the belly dancing. I was recently there on Thursday evening with a group of friends and there was belly dancing going on that night as well. It made having a conversation harder, but the food was still very good.

Does it really matter if there are belly dancers or not ??

If you don't order a la carte, make sure to fix a price in advance. We went there for a friend's birthday, mainly with mezze. The food was very good, indeed, but they charged us CHF 100 per person. Total ripoff. Other people told me that they had the same experience when eating there with a larger group. But as long as you fix the price in advance, it is a good place to go.

thanks for the tips..I have been there with groups of max 6 people in the past, so there wasnt a big dispute over the bill..

but once we have an idea about how many of us are planning to join, I will ask for a set price per person in advance , to be on the safe side

Thanks for organizing this, Stamp! I believe I was one of those who encouraged you to organize this, so you can definitely count on me to show up. 100 CHF per person, though, would be a bummer, especially without the belly dancing

Hey stamp, the glorious gregorious reminded me about this point. Will you be able to verify this before we show up on the night? I think it would make sense.

Further info, concerning prices:

Idgie warned us of the 100 CHF per head price, but that was in a "let the restaurant choose the dishes" situation. Stamp has been in touch and for small groups, there is no price per head. So it's a la carte, off the menu. Estimate around 50 CHF per person.
