Has it been two weeks already? Time for another pub night in Lausanne.

What you need to know:

The Venue
Taco’s Bar in the Flon district of Lausanne has a huge selection of beers and other drinks to choose from, an extensive menu of Mexican food for those in need of victuals. There are also several pool tables for those interested.


Where it is
Taco’s is located at Rue de Geneve 17, Lausanne in the Flon district, but the entrance to Tacos Bar is actually at the back, so you need to enter from Rue du Port Franc. You can identify the bar by its bright yellow canopy over the entranceway. The bar itself is located several floors underground, so after you go in, just keep going downstairs (two flights) until you find the bar area. The nearest public transportation stops are Bel-Air (bus) or Flon (Metro). From Bel-Air you’ll need to take the lift in the FNAC or the nearby stairs down to Rue de Geneve.

How to locate ‘us’
I normally bring along the moose that’s in my avatar to identify our group. You can see him here. Alternatively, just look around for the large group of English-speaking people; it will probably be us. Last time we were at the pool tables, and there's a good chance we'll be there again. Most people come on their own, so please don't be shy about approaching us.

Hey everyone,

I know that not everyone may go through the effort of making an online donation to the forum in memory of its founder, Mark, so to make it easier for those in Lausanne, I'll bring along an envelope to the pub this evening to collect cash donations from anyone who'd like to contribute in some way. I'll submit all monies collected to the English Forum.

Ohhh, there's always so many more of us than bother to RSVP to the initial post. Must have had 30 or so at the height of it!

Thanks to everyone for making my *last* night a good one. I'll be back in May - can't wait to see you then.
In the meantime, I may be in Morges for St. Paddy's Day, but if so, it'll be an early trip back to Geneva for my flight to Boston...

I'm glad everyone had fun last night, and it was another strong turn-out, sorry we left a bit early and didn't get to chat with everyone. Thanks for all the donations in memory of this forum's founder, Mark, they will be put towards the running of this forum. I'm certainly guilty of turning up without announcing it on the forum - I really should log on here more often. It was great to meet everyone last night, old and new.

If we regularly get that many people turning up it might be worth speaking to the bar staff in advance and see if we can move into the funky back bar...if we have a dedicated barman, it might cut back on ordering time too..

Had fun as well... The flight came earlier then Id hoped, but it was good to share a few drinks with the group. Looking forward to the next night...
