OK, bumping this thread to deliver the glorious news that Sunday's weather forecast is now without the lil' drop:

So put out your red light, Roxanne, and get your shoes on for a game of football. (Not footy, which seemed to cause some confusion last time to certain players expecting a game involving the hands. Had no idea what they meant but they still managed to play better than I...)

Alright guys (and gals of course

),

So I am really interested in five-a-side but am still unsure. I am athletic but have not played football since I was 14. . . .so rusty would be the "nice way" to interpret my "skills".

How good does one have to be to play with you all? (and honestly here, I would rather get in the mix, not stand around and watch everybody run circles around me

)

Anything else I need to know?

b) Darkphoenix: this really is a game for everyone and is like so totally casual. Nobody laughs when the ball gets wellied into the canal, no-one cares if you miss every opportunity, nobody's fit (well, some are...); it's a game for everyone, so come down next Sunday and give it a go

Cool. I will coordinate with the Stephanwolf and if the weather is nice I will make my way down and see how I do. . . .could be pretty embarrassing. Nothing better than trying to kick and ball and falling totally on your butt.

We can talk more on Wednesday about it.

Exactly the same for many other players, too! Those with lots of ambition / skill / energy usually gravitate towards the other games played on Sunday, elsewhere. Let me emphasise the Sunday Five-a-Side games are really easy, so please feel free to come down and join us.

I agree with your sentiment Mosaic, but knowing Uncle Max and Hash I get the impression that they have more to fear from me than I do from them steamrolling department

Unless you are talking about actual football skills . . .then Mikey and I will be kicking everybodies butt in air goals.
