It's the usual gathering of English speaking Lausannois, whether you are new or old-timers in the city. This is what you need to know:

The Venue
Taco’s Bar in the Flon district of Lausanne has a huge selection of beers and other drinks to choose from, an extensive menu of Mexican food for those in need of victuals. There are also several pool tables for those interested.


Where it is
Taco’s is located at Rue de Genève 17, Lausanne in the Flon district, but the entrance to Tacos Bar is actually at the back, so you need to enter from Rue du Port Franc. You can identify the bar by its bright yellow canopy over the entranceway. The bar itself is located several floors underground, so after you go in, just keep going downstairs (two flights) until you find the bar area. The nearest public transportation stops are Bel-Air (bus) or Flon (Metro). From Bel-Air you’ll need to take the lift in the FNAC or the nearby stairs down to Rue de Geneve.

How to locate ‘us’
Look around for the large group of English-speaking people; it will probably be us. We may be at the pool tables, though we normally sit just inside the entrance. Most people come on their own, so please don't be shy about approaching us.

Bumping this thread to encourage the Lausannois to have a chat with Joanna regarding the as-yet-unannounced / upcoming EF Events BBQ. Put your minds together over a glass or two and think how you're going to make the BBQ something members from other parts of the country are not willing to miss!

Come on guys, we all know that far more turn up than that. Those who dont bother to put a yes,maybe or no please put your stamp here Just try to think of all the newbies that come on here and see the numbers that are going and think... wont bother.

What time is the gathering? I live in Pully and I have a job interview next day...!! And I really would like to come since my fiance fled to Greece for a few days and I am all alone (me and my job applications).

Evening Alas.

I am usually there by 7.30 but most people arrive by 8pm.You will find my partner and i by the bar(where else) so listen out for the cockney southern accent and come and introduce yourself!

For the record, the times that I have gone there has ALWAYS been many more people there than indicated in these threads.

Another highly sociable night at Taco's, I counted at least 30 at one point, and I managed to talk to two people who were there for the first time. See you in two weeks!

Oh my head!! When will i ever learn.
great turn out guys and when i manage to get full use of my brain i shall be sending out some emails regarding the EF fundraising BBQ. As for now im going back to bed
