| | | [ZH Waedenswil] EF dinner on a Sunday anyone?
I was just thinking of something like this today. Any chance there could be an interest in a Sunday night in Wadenswill? I could see about getting the restaurant where I am at, and we could do a dinner party. Something like all food for set price, and wine or beer is extra. With majority of the proceeds going to benefit this forum. Any interest in french food as the theme? Or Morrocan, or Mixed Bag. Anyone in a band? Interested' | | This user would like to thank Confloozed for this useful post:

Hmmm... Waedenswil on a Sunday - wouldn't the town be pretty dead? Is there anything to do in Waedesnwil - maybe a hike before?
It would be great to make the trip down but nicer if it wasn't just for dinner. I guess us Zurichers could start by a nice lake cruise to Waedenswil .. maybe some drinks... hmmm....

I would be up for a Moroccan night but would prefer it on a Saturday night. |

I suggested Sunday because we are closed, and we could do our own thing. If we did it in the restaurant on another night, I know the boss would prefer we took things from the menu, and if not, it would cost alot more and raise alot less. Although I am open for locating another spot, for another day. We could do Tajines!

If this place has a website, don't keep us in suspense |

also do bear in mind that this should be an enjoyable social event first and fundraiser a long way second. Not that your gesture is not welcome but some people have the feeling that every event is to involve them dipping in their pocket for EF - and that's not what we want to have associated with every social event.
So I've changed the title for you | | This following 4 users would like to thank Lob for this useful post:

I'd come from Baar if there was chance for something vegetarian and if I could leave to return at a reasonable hour. It seems like it's only 30 minutes on the train with one change from Baar. I don't mind Saturday or Sunday evening. If there's only a few people then Saturday might be a better atmosphere.

When I said "we" yes, I work at a restaurant in Wadenswil. It is actually a BIO/Organic non smoking place. But I think, after talking it over with my boss, and after doing some local investigating, there is a much better spot for an event, and more private(well sorta'), also in Wadenswil, like this one. And currently, I can have it at any day, and any time, for a respectible price.
So if I could have some feedback to what would be the best days of interest, and food(or drinks and tapas), I can get going on this. Most of the time I work at night. So going to EF realted gatherings has been difficult for me. But if I am planning one, well that's different. I look forward to everyone and anyone's responses.

It seems from previous posts that saturday is the preferred date than Sunday. I'd say pick a date in say 2-3-4 weeks and create an event. I think we would see the support with the RSVPs but you'll have to put the cost and food details on.
