Well yes, quite, hence trying to locate some drinking partners !!

I don't know anything about Geneva, but maybe try starting something yourself. Just go and post a meet in the calendar, and start a chat thread linked to it so that people can say if they're coming.

Then you just show up at the venue at the right time. Maybe take a book just in case. I'm sure you're not the only Genevan (if that wasn't a real word, it is now). Good luck!

I would love to have a drink.....next year (not joking unfortunately!!), crazy work schedule and leaving for Xmas break in 3 weeks. There is a group that meets in Lausanne (I believe), so why not write to them to see if they are willing to come this way? (do a search)
And totally agree with you....this site is much much better
