After much confusion at the start on trying to get this party happening things are now going smooth with just about everything ready to go except the people coming.

So the details are as follows:

Date : 7th December

Time : from 1800 on

Where : Obere Mühle,Saal Room, Oberdorfstr 15, Dübendorf 8600

To Bring : Plate of food to share from your home country, drinks for yourselves

Cost : CHF10 to cover the Room Hire fee

-Who can come? The party is open to pretty much anybody who would like to attend, including forum members and their partners, spouses and friends. Just let us know how many are coming!

-Who do I contact?: send a private message to katie to let her know if you are coming, how many guests you will be bringing, and what food you will contribute.

Please also drop us a note in this thread so we can all see who is coming. The more, the merrier!

Sounds awesome!! I plan to bring along some food that's typical of my part of Canada (which basically means fish) (don't worry, it's not a dessert!.)

Are we doing anything else "Christmassy" for the party? Secret Santa? Chesnuts roasting on an open fire? Carol sing?

I'd like to come.

A small problem is that I'm flying into the Zürich on this day. So bringing any food and drinks might be a problem. As I'll be coming directly from the Airport. Any place close by where I can buy some beers or a bottle of wine?

What is everyone planning on drinking?

James, the airport itself has shops and supermarkets, not to mention you'll be able to bring some duty free booze from whereever you're coming from.

I like to get out of the airport as quickly as possible. Not hang around for a shopping expirence!

Also what you can buy duty free, tends to be more expensive then the normal prices outside the airport!

I would like to maybe bring a bottle from the other end, but I tend to travel with only carry on (ref getting out of the airport as quickly as possible ) With the new rules about liquids this makes things difficult.

But don't worry I'm not panicing

or you can let me know what you would like to bring and I can bring it for you ..
