Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

I am being optimistic this week and I already reserved 3 courts for 2 hours.

If you are a regular and plan not to come, please remember to sign as "No" on top and/or post your intentions here, so I could be able to cancel the courts if there is not much people.

I know there would be a lot of movement in the city because of the Euro08 and maybe you'll like to stay at home and watch it on TV as couch-potatos and hence decide not to come.

In that case please let me know.

Thanks !

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

Hi,
What is a member and what is a guest?
I am not a member of the said tennis platz. Do I have to pay something?

Please let me know, I am quite keen. I am an intermediate tennis singles player. I play weekly 1hour.
Doubles is also possible.

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

The members are us ( the forum members ) if you come with someone else then he/she is a guest.

This is to be able to know the numbers in advance so I can reserve the number of courts accordingly.

The costs are CHF 20 per hour/court when we do it at Mythenquai, CHF 30 per hour/court when we do it in Schlieren.

We split the full price between all the ones who come.

So for example for this saturday we have 3 courts for 2 hours so 6 court/hours... the total cost will be 120 CHF.- if 12 people come we pay 10 each.

Samstag

12°/19°

So far the weather forecast is for rain so very probably we will move this to Schlieren, but nobody has signed yet the Euro08 fever I guess.

By tomorrow afternoon I should know how many come and have done or cancelled the reservations, normally friday is too late to get a place to play on saturday.

Hello there, I can come on Saturday 1600 to 1800hrs, but looking at the rain forecast, I will do this only if it is in Schlieren. It is nearer my home than the Mythenxxxxx. I dont fancy playing in the rain, soaking in red clay.

Count me in. And thanks for organising.

HAT (chinese guy, so you will know when I arrive)
PS: I cannot say for sure I come regularly but this first time will be a tryout for me.

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

Hey guys, Long time ain't see you. Fadzi might join this weekend but I need to confirm with her first. I have to stay in my club to play the rematch for 1st League entry. If we (our team) blow this much then we will stay where we are however if we win it then we will move to the 1st League! Quite crucial for us, thus I have to excuse myself again. All the best guys

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

would be interested (depending on weather) in coming but I have not played tennis since childhood and honestly, I don't remember anything...so if anyone is willing to help me out, then I would like to give it a try!

Playing tennis is like dancing the Waltz and riding a bike.... Once you learned it you never forget it

Come and play with us, many beginners and other that did a long time stop are coming and you can see how fast they are improving.

This saturday the meeting will be at Schlieren as there is most probably rain

Saturday

12°/19°

But there are still very few that signed up. I'll wait until the end of the day and then we'll know if we do at Schlieren it or not.

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

As there was not many "Yes" and it looks like rain tomorrow, I cancelled the courts reservations.

If you happen to sign today, I could maybe get some courts at Schlieren.

Hi salsa lover,

So what's up?
I did say I will play in Schlieren.
Anyone up to this?
How many have signed?

Even if it is only a few people, or even 1, I think I will just I turn up to hit some balls for 1hr, just to meet up.
Good to have even numbers though.

Let me know by end of this evening please.
Thanks.

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

Well, I only see 1 name on the "Yes" section up there...

I know flo14 and danny say "Maybe" but come allways, with you we would be 4.

If they confirm I'll try to get the court in Schlieren today.

otherwise it would be Euro08 fever for alles

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

The Event was changed to Schlieren due to rain.

I only reserved one court from 16-18h for 2 hours.

HAT, if you will come sign up.

If there are no more people signed, I'll cancel the reservation tomorrow morning.

Re: [Zürich] Tennis on Saturdays

So,

due to bad weather and not many signed up we have 1 court for 2 hours

from 16h to 18h at VITIS SCHLIEREN, those are indoor courts, so the weather doesn't matter

Be there a little before 16h so we can get to the court on time.

VITIS SportCenter,
Wiesenstrasse 8,
8952 Schlieren/ZH-West

It is just in front of the train station Schlieren. Location here
