Very popular and just so happens to be my favourite and seeing as it's my birthday I'll choose where I want to go

Hope to see a good crowd out for this one and please note following the chaos of the last curry night I will be running a different system of paying.

The menu prices are set (with a few exceptions on certain dishes but Jay has agreed that he will be able to manage the food side of things) and for the drinks, table service will be available but I will be requesting that payment is made for each drink ordered not counted at the end of the meal. This makes it fair for the non-drinkers and also should ensure no nasty bills left to pay at the end.

Please do not be put off by the events of the last curry night.

Best thing is to check on the day if there is space on the list if you can't commit yet...but be warned....it does fill up pretty fast

Hi there, I started working in Basel in February, but I haven't met anyone from the forum before and was just wondering if there will be other newcomers at this event or do you all know each other already?!

Looking forward to it either way. Always keen for booze (although not so much the Jagermeister!) and curry...

Pippo says she is new. All the rest of us know each other. It does not take long to get to know everyone though. Looks like the reservation is full now unlesss someone cancels. Glad you got in Scientistmel.

It may be possible to increase the numbers slightly if there is enough interest (no more than 24-25).

As I don't really want to cycle all the way home, just to come back into town again, I will be heading to the "New" and rather good Lällekönig bar at Schifflande from about 18:15, if anyone wants to join for a pre-curry beer.

(assuming they have restocked after the football - they did run out of one of the beers on Saturday - can't think why....)
