Let me know if you would like to join for a hike this Sunday.

We can meet at the Lausanne train station for the 9h45 train, which arrives in Biel at 10h42.

The hike goes through gorges and vineyards, providing views of Pilatus and Mont Blanc and several waterfalls. It is an easy level, about 3 hours. All the details can be found here: http://www.biel-seeland.ch/e/excursi...=&id=94&cat=49 There is a restaurant along the way for refreshments. At the end, wine tasting is possible at the local Vinotheque.

Hike will be cancelled in case of bad weather.

  • Blang - A bit of a hike for me to get there for a hike but it sounds like fun and I have never been to Lausannne yet so I will give it a go.

Oh i won't be able to take part sadly,but i got an insider tip for you,in regards to wine tasting, I know that the wife of one of the Feitknecht brothers is a Briton I have been several times at their carnotzet to eat treberwurst adn drink their wines and was never dissapointed, so if you call a head you might organise a tasting there an' all ,they are very close to the train station

The hike is an easy level, and can be completed in 3 hours at a leisurely pace! :-)

I will be coming with 2 friends of mine, from zurich. I guess we will directly meet you at biel station.

If we dont meet, then i guess we meet in the mountains and you can resucue 3 poor souls who will get lost all the time in the mountains

It will be nice to meet some English forum members from the other side of Switzerland! I suggest that we have the final meeting point just outside and in front of the Biel train station. In order to recognize me, I have blonde hair and will carry a green backpack. I am sending a private message with my phone number to everyone who signs up.

Final update: I am sorry about this, but I am CANCELLING the hike. I just checked the latest weather forecast in Biel, and rain is predicted. Please check in the future, because I will probably repost the hike in a couple of weeks.

I will be still going with 2 other friends of mine. The adventorous spirt doesnt die in me if it rains then may be i will be having a beer to take it easy.
