I should probably start a gigs in 2007 thread but guess people will see these anyway. There are a few good gigs coming up that I will be heading to.

The Fratellis are playing Mascotte on Friday 19th Jan.

Kasabian at the Rohstofflager on Friday 16th Feb. Should be fantastic.

The Guillemots are playing the Abart Tuesday 20th Feb

If anyone else is likely to be going along let me know.

Will most probably join on the Friday, 19th January. Where do you get the tickets from?

I've been trying to track down a comprehensive gig guide for Zurich/Switzerland but with little luck. Anyone know of anything online?

There was a decent looking festival when i was over last year (depeche mode etc) Kind of low key and on the french side...... does anyone know what it's called?

I think the festival you are talking about it the www.paleo.ch in Nyon. I have not been to any but there are quite a few other open airs all over Switzerland.

For checking gigs your best option is looking at www.starticket.ch and www.ticketcorner.ch Both are available in English and there are alot more gigs here besides mine (Jet, The Rifles, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bob Dylan, Snoop Dogg, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones and lots more).

I have just bought my Fratellis so if anyone fancies a few beers beforehand (Outback pub maybe?) let me know.

Frison get's some great gigs. Shame Fribourg is 2 hours from Zurich.

Note - That's a comment on thread topic, rather than demanding Zurich hosts all the gigs

Possibly the Fratellis too. I've heard good things about them, but don't think i've actually heard them play.

I strongly recommend "The Sunshine Underground" gig at Abart. It takes place on 12th april. I saw them last year in Brighton and they are amazing live! You defo miss something if you don't go ...

I will also go to see Kasabian. Another brilliant live band!

I bought my Fratellis tickets :-) Costello Music was best thing ever so dont even care if they suck live ...

The Fratellis are playing Mascotte which is absolutely tiny. One of the best places to see any band. They are playing Brixton Academy for four nights at the beginning of March so will probably end up playing that dreadful stadium next time they come here.
