EF Poker Tournament 2008

Hi All,

There has been a lot of talk about poker, setting up games, all kinds of plans but things on the site do not seem to happen.

I do play regulary at different places with different people and have, perhaps, the possibility of setting up the first EF Poker Tournament.

Before I spend too much effort and time, I want to get a realistic idea of how many people would come, (not just say that they would)!

It would be a Friday night starting at 8pm, date tbd, could be soon.

The details would still need to be defined. This should not be a beginner event, people who join must have some experience, know how to play and understand the rules. This doesnt mean you have to be a pro, just that you wont hold up the game or create problems.

I have set up the pole, please answer only if you would seriously come!

Re: EF Poker Tournament 2008

Do you think you could set up a private table for EF people on one of the poker sites and we could have an online game also?

Re: EF Poker Tournament 2008

If were all on the same site, we could create a private table.

I personally use pokerstars (i think) the problem is everyone will be using different sites.

only problem there, is that there is no link to the peoples names, so to search every single name would be a pain, hopefully people will add their names here via the poll.

Re: EF Poker Tournament 2008

Ok people, looks like this can and will happen.

I need people to add themselves to the poll, regardless of the other thread as there are many players from GVA and other areas that I assume would not come to Zurich for this.

Please get your friends to sign up if they want to join.

We can then set up a doodle for dates that are good for everyone once we see there are enough players.

There would be a "fee" to enter the tourney, around 50% of that fee would go to EF, I am making nothing from this event, except if I win.

So get people to add themselves.

Exactly. I don't think I have ever found it so difficult to organise a home game as here. I'm in for a tournement, but would love to see a regular rotating cash game happen too.
